Senior Business Analyst / Project Manager / Problem Solver Consultant

About the Job:

Are you an experienced consultant looking for a flexible, part-time gig? Do you have a passion for problem solving? Are you able to wear a variety of hats (BA/PM/Change)? The Advice Stand is a management consulting firm located in Sandringham (Melbourne), working with a huge variety of businesses and industries (private, public and social). Our consultants dedicate themselves to getting to know our clients and understanding their needs. We then work closely with them to formulate a solution and implement it, making lasting improvements to their performance and helping them realise their most important goals.

We are looking for an experienced consultant who is able to hit the ground running, working on a variety of client projects and internal initiatives, who also enjoys mentoring/coaching.

About the Role:

As a senior consultant, you will be comfortable taking the lead on projects that may require a combination of business analysis, project management and change management skills. Working closely with the managing director, a key part of this role is also to help develop our junior consultants and facilitate their growth on client projects.

Key responsibilities:

  • Relationship-led delivery and technology transformation experience. Delivering multiple projects in parallel and programs at scale are your key capabilities. You will be exceptional at managing multiple project dependencies and risks across an interrelated program.

  • Exceptional stakeholder management and relationship building skills (business and technology clients), at an Executive, CxO and Board level.

  • Governance. Lead and manage client expectations across delivery execution to manage client expectations, risk, change and escalation management for the team.

  • Business & Data Analysis. Analyse and document client’s business processes and problems, as well as their data. Must be good with people and able to digest and summarise large volumes of information.

  • Work on internal projects and business development.

  • Performing other ad hoc tasks as required.

Requirements:

  • You have experience in engaging senior and executive stakeholders within clients (EM, GM and CxO level)

  • You have extensive consulting and delivery experience and have a proven track record leading programs of work

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Strong analytical/problem-solving skills

  • You have exceptional communication/storytelling skills that allow you to move “up and down” an organisation based on the level of detail required

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data visualization tools such as PowerBI is a bonus

  • Knowledge of project-management software is a bonus

  • Demonstrate ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
